Protest against emergency film in Britain: Violent demonstrations are being done in Britain about the screening of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) expressed concern over these efforts to create violence and obstruction on Friday (January 24, 2025). The Ministry of External Affairs said that it expects the UK government to ensure accountability for those who create obstacles in legitimate activities.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on the matter, “We have seen many reports that the film is being shown in many theaters, but bottlenecks are being created in its screening. We are constantly talking to the UK government about anti -India elements and incidence of threats. Those who disrupt the screening of the film should be held accountable. ”
High commission is in regular contact for safety
Randhir Jaiswal also said, “Freedom of expression cannot be selected. We hope that the UK government will take appropriate action against the responsible people. Our high commission in London is in regular contact for the safety of its people. ”
Protest in Britain’s cinema house
In the UK, on the night of Sunday (January 19, 2025), some people had violent demonstrations raising anti -India slogans in Harrow View Cinema. These protesters have been identified as Khalistan supporters. These people also tied the mask on their mouths. After this demonstration, the people sitting in the cinema hall were nervous. Screening had to be stopped in the hall due to protesters.
The protesters described the film as anti -Sikh Indian propaganda
Protests by British Sikh groups had to stop the screening of the film in theaters in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and some areas of West London. The film was described as anti -Sikh Indian propaganda and it is planned to perform in other theaters later this week.
