Government will bring Banke Bihari Corridor Ordinance

The Yogi government can present the Banke Bihari Corridor Ordinance in this monsoon session. Apart from this, the government has made a strategy to pass some bills related to higher education. There is a plan to introduce the Banke Bihari Corridor Bill in the House. The case of Banke Bihari Trust is still in the Supreme Court. In such a situation, it will be implemented only after the final decision from the court.

The Supreme Court has put a temporary stay on the Banke Bihari Trust and has referred the matter to the Allahabad High Court. On Friday, the court said that the operation of the committee formed in the Banke Bihari Temple Trust Ordinance is being suspended. On May 15, the Supreme Court had allowed the UP government to use temple funds for the development of the corridor in Mathura.

The court also allowed to acquire 5 acres of land around the temple. Only after this, on 26 May, the UP government also issued an ordinance. Arrangements were made to create a trust (trust) to take care of the temple. The Goswami family had gone to the Supreme Court against this decision of the UP government.
