A wonderful spiritual relationship has been seen from Kedarnath Jyotirlinga of Uttarakhand to Rameswaram Jyotirlinga in South India. The distance between these two holy sites is about 2,382 kilometers and the special thing is that both of them are located on the longitude line of about 79 degrees. This line is called ‘Shiva Shakti Rekha’. The seven major Shiva temples of India are located on this line, which not only geographically, but also in spiritual terms.
These temples also include the five famous Shiva temples depicting the five elements of the universe- water, air, fire, earth and sky. It is believed that Srikalahasti Shiva Temple, Jal, Ekambeshwarnath Temple Agni, Arunachaleshwar Temple Vayu, Jambukeshwar Temple Prithvi and Thillai Natraj Temple Akash. Along with these Panchabhut temples, holy Jyotirlingas like Kedarnath and Rameswaram are located in this straight line, which makes it even more mysterious and divine.
Seven Shiva Temple installed on Shiv Shakti Line
1. Kedarnath Dham: The first Shiva temple in the Shiva-Shakti line is the Kedarnath temple in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country. The temple is located at 79.0669 degree Longitud. Kedarnath Dham is called Ardhjyotirlinga.
2. Kalahasti Temple: Kalahasti Temple, which is located in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is particularly known for its “well -known” and “Sakshat Shivling”. This temple represents the air element. Tirupati is about 30-40 km from Srikalahasti Temple, which is famous for the world famous Sri Venkateswara Temple.
3. Ekambeshwarnath Temple: Ekambeshwarnath Temple is a major Hindu temple located in Kanchi, Tamil Nadu, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located in Kanchi city. It is also known as “Ekambeshwar Temple” or “Ekambeshwarnath Temple”. In this, Shiva is worshiped as earth element.
4. Arunachaleshwar Temple: Arunachaleshwar Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. This temple is situated on the bottom of the Mount Arunachal, which is also called “Arunachal” or “Mountains of Lord Shiva”. This place is especially worshiped as Agni Linga.
5. Thillai Natraj Temple Chidambaram: Thillai Natraj Temple is a famous temple located in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. Here is worshiped as a dance form of Lord Shiva. This temple is considered about 2,000 years old. The temple has a painting and sculpture depicting 108 dance postures of Lord Shiva.
6. Jambukeshwar Temple: This temple is set up in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. This temple is about 1800 years old. This temple represents water element.
7. Rameswaram Temple Ramalingam: Rameswaram Temple is a major Hindu pilgrimage site located in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
