- Fuel Crisis in Mizoram: Tanker Drivers Strike Over Bad Roads, 70% fuel pumps dry dainik bhaskar

70% of the state’s petrol pumps, including the capital Aizawl, were dry on Monday due to the strike of the oil tanker driver in Mizoram. The state government is constantly talking to the Oil Tankers Association. However, the association says that tankers cannot be brought from broken roads.
Due to the strike, the supply of petrol and diesel as well as everyday goods has come to a standstill in the state. Due to this, every essential items are getting double the price. All vegetables in Aizawl are being sold above 100 to 150 rupees per kg.
The price of one liter of milk is also between 110 and 160 rupees. Rice sold for 50 rupees kg is being sold for 75 rupees. School buses in Aizawl and Lunglei have been closed. Children are going to school on foot or schools have discharged.
