On the occasion of Holi in Hyderabad, Telangana, some people were selling ice cream, kulfi and sweets. On receiving information about this case, the Excise and Prohibition Department raided and arrested three people. The police have registered a case and started action against the accused.
According to the agency, Excise Superintendent N Film Reddy said that the department had received information that some people are planning to sell ganja-mixed foods during Holi. On the basis of this information, the officials raided several places in the city and arrested three people.
During the raid, the authorities seized large quantities of ganja-mixed foods from the accused, including sweets adorned with ice cream, kulfi, barfi and silver work. In all these substances, the intoxicating substance was being sold.

During the festival of Holi, the administration takes special vigilance on the sale and intake of drugs. The Excise Department had already instructed to monitor possible illegal activities. Officials believe that the accused were planning to sell drugs on a large scale by taking advantage of the festival.
A case has been registered against the accused and they are being questioned. The police is also investigating whether more people are involved in this racket and whether any network is working.
