Mobile users will be able to report spam calls easily and will also be able to get rid of unwanted commercial calls (UCC). For this, TRAI posted information on the X platform (old name Twitter).
TRAI has amended the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulation (TCCCPR), 2018 to improve consumer protection. After this, users will be able to get rid of telemarketing calls coming from number 10 and have also asked to make the report of the report easier. There is a fine on telecom companies here. After this, telecom companies have objected to this decision.
Asked to implement the new series
The mobile number of 10 number for commercial communications has already been discontinued by TRAI. For this, the new number series will start, which will start with 140 and 1600 series. Promotional calls using the number 140 number series and 1600 series will have to be used for transaction related calls.

Tightening the screws on unarjizist telemarkators
Following TRAI’s new decisions, unarjigished Telemarkators are to tighten the screws, which are using telecom resources in a free manner. A fine will also be imposed for this. There will be a 15 -day suspension for violating the rules for the first time by Telemarkators, while the telecom resource can be disconnected for 1 year if the rules are broken again.

Telecom companies will also be fined
Here telecom operators may also have to face fine. Telechmine companies will have to face financial penalties for non -compliance. The initial amount of this fine will be Rs 2 lakh, which can be up to Rs 5 lakh. If the mistake is found again, a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh can be fined.
COAI said, why kept messaging apps out?
On behalf of Telecom companies’ institution, COAI has objected to increasing the fine on telecom companies. He also mentioned why social messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram etc. are kept out in it.
