There was frequent fight between husband and wife
Swati was originally from Muzaffarnagar. He was married to Jitendra, a resident of Modinagar, about three years ago. Family members say that there was a dispute between husband and wife since marriage. It is alleged that Jitendra used to demand dowry and assaulted his wife.

There was a fight between the two last night. After which the dispute increased so much late on Monday night that the accused cut Swati with a sharp weapon and killed him. As soon as the murder was reported, Swati’s maternal uncle reached Modinagar from Muzaffarnagar. He accused Jitendra and his family of killing for dowry.
Police in search of accused husband
As soon as the news of the incident spread, a large crowd gathered in the village. The family of the deceased also reached the spot and demanded that the accused be arrested and punished hard. At the same time, Swati’s husband Jitendra and her other family are said to be absconding from the house.
On receiving the information, along with the police station police station, top officials also reached the spot. DCP Rural Surendranath Tiwari said that the case is being investigated and soon the husband Jitendra, accused of murder, will be arrested.
