The case of threats to bomb Golden Temple has now reached Parliament. Congress MP from Ferozepur Sher Singh Ghubaya, while presenting a stay motion in the Lok Sabha, has sought time from the speaker to discuss the issue.

According to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), they have received 9 threatened e-mails so far, although the actual number is considered more than this. E-mail sending fake IDs are using fake IDs and are talking about targeting the most sacred site of Sikhism.

- Use of fake names in e-mails- Those who send in these emails have used fake names of well-known individuals. The first e-mail was sent as the Chief Minister of Kerala. After this, an e-mail was also sent under the name of former Chief Justice of India. The use of these names also remains a matter of concern.
Devotees getting reduced, SGPC worried
SGPC Principal Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami is worried that thousands of devotees visit this open pilgrimage every day. It is a place of peace and service. Any terrorist attack here will not only be impure, but will be a strategically hatched conspiracy to break India’s social unity. Also, it is equally important to eliminate the fear of transparent dialogue with the public, fast investigation and the fear being spread on digital platforms.
Jathedar raised questions on the inaction of intelligence agencies

Political arena is becoming the security of Golden Temple
The threats being given to bomb Golden Temple are becoming a political arena. Opposition parties are constantly on surrounding the government.
Taking a dig at the Punjab government, Ashwani Sharma said that Bhagwant Maan government did not take seriously the threats received to the Guru Ghar. He said that the government woke up after three days and then started the action activities, which is clear that the state government is in a state of deep negligence and unconsciousness.
Congress MP Gurjit Aujla wrote a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah that Central Forces should be installed for the security of Golden Temple. However, the main gland of Golden Temple and former Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh opposed it.
Security and investigation
- Punjab Police and BSF have increased security – all the squads including Bomb Disposal Squad, SWAT, SOG, Dog Squad are engaged in security.
- CM Bhagwant Mann has said that there is no compromise with the security of the state and people should be careful with rumors.
