On Tuesday, ten people, including four minors, were arrested on Tuesday in the case of gang rape of a 20 -year -old woman on the famous Gopalpur beach in Odisha. Police said the incident took place on Sunday night, when a private college graduate student went to the beach with her classmate lover on the occasion of Raja Utsav. Initially seven people were detained for questioning, currently 10 accused have been arrested. Police is questioning him.
In her complaint lodged at Gopalpur police station, the victim alleged that when she and her lover were sitting in a secluded place on the beach, a group of 10 people came to her. Surrounded her lover and tied her hands and feet. After this, he was raped in turn. A police officer said that the accused were caught when they were trying to escape to another state. Before that, the police could succeed in escaping.
SP Saravan Vivek M said, “Three people raped the girl in turn, while seven others were providing them protection. A special police team has been formed to investigate the matter. The police will request the court to request the court to be considered as adults, as they were involved in a heinous crime.
