Rajgir Cricket Stadium: Bihar Cabinet has sanctioned Rs 1131 crore for Rajgir Sports Academy. A cricket stadium with a capacity of 40,000 spectators is being built here. The stadium will have modern facilities and 13 pitches.
A total of 41 agendas were approved in the Bihar cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. In this, the cabinet has taken a big decision to promote sports. A huge amount of Rs 1131 crore has been sanctioned for the Sports Academy in Rajgir. The cost of this amount will also be spent for the cricket stadium. This will expand sports facilities in the state and the youth will get better training opportunities.
A great cricket stadium is being built at Rajgir Sports Academy. Its work is being done very fast. About 40,000 people will be able to sit together and watch matches in this stadium being built on 72,843 sqm land. Its design is being made in such a way that big international matches can also be made here. Seven different agencies are working hard day and night to prepare this stadium.
During the rainy season, the green grass of the ground is drawing the attention of the people. A total of 13 pitches are being made here. Of these, 7 pitch are being prepared from Mokama’s black soil and 6 pitch from Pune’s red soil. Mokama’s soil is more lubricated, which makes the ball bounce well on the pitch. The special grass being applied on these pitches will make the game even better and exciting.
The main pavilion is being made five -storey, which will be spread over 14,295 sqm. It will have different and new facilities for players, umpires, media and special guests. Here gym, spa, laundry facility, physio room and medical centers are also being built for treatment.
Special arrangements are being made for media and commentary in the stadium. Here the third umpire room, camera holding platforms, TV and radio commentary rooms are being built. Along with this, people will be able to watch the match comfortably from special boxes, private balcony rooms (suites) and roof for corporate people. Now the form of the field is clearly visible and the structure of the stadium is also seen to be prepared.
This stadium will also have a great and modern drainage system. This will not disturb the game during the rain. The work of planting grass on the ground outfield has also been completed. Its ground and pavilion work is targeted to be completed by August.
Great seating arrangement for the audience
A total of four pavilions are being built in the stadium, of which 38,900 viewers will have seating capacity. Two pavilions will be for the general audience, while the main pavilion made in the south direction will be five storeys. The remaining three pavilions will be two -storey. Food court, lift and toilet facility will be provided in each one.
