Government takes strong stance on chatgpt, Deepsek, Finance Ministry Asks Employees to Leave Ai Tools

In the last few years, the use of tools associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increased rapidly. These tools include Chatgpt and recently introduced Deepsek of China. The central government’s attitude towards these AI tools in India is strict. The Finance Ministry has asked its employees to avoid these AI tools in view of the risk of government documents and data confidentiality.

A one of reuters Report I have given this information about this by quoting the internal advisory issued by the Finance Ministry. The recently released advisory states, “Office computers and devices have a risk for documents and data secrecy from AI apps (eg chatgpt, Deepsek).” Countries like Australia and Italy have also imposed restrictions on the use of Deepsek due to risk for security of data.

The finance ministry, Openai and Deepsek, operating the Chatgpt about this, did not respond to the recommendations sent for comments. India’s Chief, Sam Altman’s visit to Openai’s Openai is scheduled to have a meeting with the IT minister. Three officials of the Finance Ministry have said that this advisory was released this week. However, it is not known whether other ministers have given such instructions or not.

China’s Deepsek will be hosting on Indian servers. Last week, Information and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that this will allow privacy -related fears about data transfer abroad. Deepsek has made major changes in the AI’s segment. Its growing popularity led to heavy selling in shares of tech companies in many big countries. Vigilance is taken in India regarding data transfer abroad. The central government has also released rules for local storage of data. Vaishnaw had said that in the next two-three years in the country, there will be an investment of about 30 billion dollars in data centers and hipersscalers. He had told that India AI mission has crossed the initial target of GPU. About 18,693 GPUs are available for researchers, businesses and startups in the country. This will be important resources for various AI projects.
