Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to reach the International Space Station (ISS), has been made the brand ambassador of ‘Developed India Buildhan’ on Sunday (October 5, 2025). It is a nationwide innovation movement, designed to include students from schools from sixth to 12th standard.
Buildhan, the largest school ever, is Hacathon, which will motivate more than one crore students of 1.5 lakh schools across the country to create and design prototypes under four subjects. This is being organized by the Ministry of Haikathon Education in collaboration with the ‘Atal Innovation Mission’.

In this regard, a senior official said, ‘Shukla is the brand ambassador of developed India Buildhan-2025. On Saturday (October 4, 2025), he met the School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar. He discussed the attitude and initiatives of Buildhan, which is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attitude to promote scientific thinking, creativity and innovation in students to empower him to become a contribution ready for the future in the development journey of developed India.
Shubhashu Shukla went on a journey of space under the Axiom-4 mission
39-year-old Indian Air Force (IAF) officer and test pilot group Captain Shukla completed his first space trip under the Ex-4 mission. It was a commercial space flight supported by ISRO and NASA, which was operated by the Ex -Space.
Buildhan’s registration will be held from 23 September to 6 October
Buildhan started on 23 September and registrations open till 6 October. Live Buildon will be held on 13 October and the winners will be announced in December. Buildhan calls for students from sixth to 12th to join various teams, thinking creatively and developing ideas and prototypes solving real -life challenges.
Students will work on four subjects of national importance
Students will work on four subjects of national importance: self-sufficient India- creation of self-sufficient systems and solutions; Indigenous- promoting indigenous thoughts and innovation; Vocal for Local- Promotion of local products, crafts and resources and create the path of prosperity and sustainable development.
