Agustawestland case: A big order has come from Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court regarding Christian Mitchell, who played the role of middleman of the alleged scam in the Agasta Westland helicopter procurement case. He got bail from the court, but he has refused to come out of jail on bail.
Mitchell said in court that he wants to stay in jail. Christian Mitchell has been lodged in Tihar Jail for the last 6 years. There was a major discussion all around the allegations of irregularity in the Agasta Westland helicopter procurement case, after which the investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI.
Mitchell did not want to come out of jail
When the hearing begins on the conditions related to the bail of Christian Mitchell in the Rousse Avenue Court, the judge said that how can a person who has been in jail for 6 years can present it in the local gardener court. After this, the Special Judge asked Mitchell his well -being. The judge said, “How are you, by the grace of God, it has become good with you in the last 2 months, you have got bail in the case of CBI and ED.”
On this, Mitchell told the judge, “Delhi is just a big prison for me. My family cannot come to meet you. Mitchell told the court that he wants to leave his sentence and leave the country.
Court set conditions for Michelle’s bail
The Rouse Avenue Court has fixed the conditions of bail on Christian Mitchell James, accused in the AgustaWestland case. Mitchell has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in the Delhi High Court and CBI (CBI) case in the case of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the AgustaWestland case.
- The court said in its order that the accused will have to give bail with a personal bond amount of Rs 5 lakh and a bond of equal amount.
- The accused will submit his passport before the court.
- Since the passport of the accused has already expired, he will have to apply immediately for renewal of passport as per the rules of British High Commission. During this time, if the British High Commission considers it appropriate, he can issue an emergency certificate to him at his only discretion.
- The accused will have to attend the office of CBI/Investigating Officer once every 15 days after his release.
- The accused will provide his mobile number/email ID to the investigating officer and the court immediately after his release, on which he will always be available.
- The accused will tell his residence in Delhi, where he will remain after release, and if he changes his address, it will inform the court and the investigating officer immediately.
- The accused will not tamper with the evidence.
- The accused will not try to contact or influence any witness.
- The accused will not interact with the media on any subject related to this case nor will any comment on the matter on any platform, until the case is going on.
- If further investigation is necessary or any cooperation is necessary during the case, the accused will give full support.
- The accused will not leave India without the permission of the court.
