Hapur District Court of Uttar Pradesh has given a historic verdict. In just 36, the culprits of the Bittu murder case were sentenced to life imprisonment. District Judge Malkhan Singh punished the culprits Ankit and Bharat with life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25,000 thousand.
Rocky, a resident of Jasroop Nagar in Kotwali Hapur Nagar, had filed a report of the disappearance of his brother Bittu. Bittu left home on the evening of 17 September 2023 but did not return. After the information received from the villagers on September 19, his body was found in the sugarcane field.

Police investigation revealed that Ankit and Bharat attacked Bittu’s head in a drunken state and killed him. After this, the body was hidden in the sugarcane field. In Hapur Court, the prosecution presented the testimony of 11 witnesses and advocated concrete. In view of the seriousness of the case, the court completed the hearing rapidly.
District Judge Malkhan Singh sentenced the culprits to life imprisonment in just 36 working days. He also recommended departmental action against the discretion who was negligent in the investigation of the case.
