Babical defeated world number-1 rank for the first time.
Alexander Babical of Kazakhstan defeated the current champion Yanik Sinner, making a big upset in the Hale Grass Tournament. The world’s number one player Sinner was beaten 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 by the 45th ranking. This is the first time after Summer 2023 that Cinner has been defeated by a player outside the top-20.
