The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has claimed that it has killed Hamas’s top military leader Hakam Mohammad Isa al-Issa through a targeted airplane in Sabra area of ​​Gaza City. Al-Issa is described as the mastermind of the massacre of 7 October 2023 and one of the founding members of the military wing of Hamas.
The IDF said in its statement, “Al-Issa was playing a lead role in increasing the military strength of Hamas, training and planning the 7 October attack. He also played an important role in the plans for Hamas’s air and naval attacks.”

The IDF and the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) also said that they will continue the campaign to find out all the terrorists involved in the October 7 attack. According to the IDF, Al-Issa was a member of Hamas’s General Security Council, head of the training headquarters and co-founder of the Military Academy of Al-Kasam Brigade, where he was allegedly engaged in training thousands of terrorists and developing technical capacity.
IDF has also said that Al-Issa took war training in Syria and Iraq and came from Syria in 2005, where it became an important part of Hamas’s military organization.
