Mansi Pathak, who came out of Hardoi’s soil, not only left his mark in IIT Kharagpur with his hard work, dedication and extraordinary talent, but also created history by doing the first comprehensive scientific research on a complex issue like air pollution in rural India. His research has given rise to new thinking in the field of environment of rural India.

Why this research is special
Mansi’s research is considered the first scientific and comprehensive study done on rural air pollution in India. This research at the Coral Center of IIT IIT Kharagpur Prof. Jayanarayanan was completed under the direction of Kuttipurath. During his research tenure, Mansi published 8 research articles in international high quality magazines, including environmental pollution, chemosfar, Journal of Hazards Materials Advances, and Environmental Science: Processes and Impacts.
Prof. in Mansi’s doctorate committee. Kinsuk Naskar (President), Prof. Renji Remson, Prof. Abhishek Rai and Prof. Pranab Deb was involved. Mansi received her early education from St. Xavier’s School in Hardoi, followed by BTech and MTech in Civil Engineering and then selected for PhD in IIT Kharagpur. His grandfather Ramesh Chandra Pathak is a senior journalist and entrepreneur of Hardoi. Mansi’s father Achal Pathak is a private businessman while mother Rama Pathak is the village head.
