Harry Brook was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 6.25 crore in the mega auction.

England cricketer Harry Brook has been banned from two seasons of the Indian Premier League. He has been banned under the new retention policy of IPL. 26 -year -old Harry Brook withdrew his name just before the league.

The 26 -year -old Brook is the first cricketer to be banned under the replacement rule. BCCI implemented a new retention policy on 1 November 2024.

Replacement rules of new policy Under the replacement rule of the new retention policy, foreign players will now have to register in the mega auction to participate in the IPL. If not registered, they will not be allowed to participate in the next mini auction.

If a foreign player withdraws from the tournament after being sold in the auction, he will be banned for the next 2 seasons. That is, he will not be able to participate in the next 2 auction. Delhi bought Brook for Rs 6.25 crore The Delhi Capitals franchise bought Harry Brook in November for Rs 6.25 crore in the mega auction held in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah). In the auction of the previous season, Delhi also bought him for Rs 4 crore.
