An FIR has been filed against Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli and Singer Rocky Mittal for gang rape in Kasauli, but it is becoming difficult for Himachal Police to prove it.

There is no recording of that day in the government hotel where the gangrape allegations are lodged. The police interrogated the hotel staff but now they too do not remember anything. In such a situation, before proving the case in the court, Himachal Police is not finding anything in the investigation itself.

Gang rape on 3 July 2023, complaint lodged on 13 December 2024 The woman said that she was gang-raped on July 3, 2023. Then she was staying in Hotel Rose Common. However, the woman lodged her complaint on December 13. He did not tell the police any reason for filing such a late complaint. The police registered the case the same day but the challenge of finding evidence arose.
Only 45 days’ worth of CCTV found in the hotel According to the woman, she was gang-raped at Hotel Rose Common in Kasauli. This hotel belongs to Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC). After registering the gangrape case, the police reached the hotel directly. The police want to see the CCTV footage of that day i.e. 3 July 2024. So that evidence of the existence of all these can be found. However, it was said in the hotel that only 45 days’ footage remains here. The case was registered after 529 days.
Hotel room – evidence like bedsheet, wine glass also gone. In case of any case, police often collect evidence from the place of incident. In this case too, the police needed the hotel room, the bed or bedsheet there, wine glasses, bottles and other things so that they could get evidence of their being in the room together and rape. However, due to delay in filing the complaint, nothing was received.
Even the hotel staff don’t remember anything The police also interrogated the employees working at Hotel Rose Common in this matter. Nothing was found in that also. Any employee who was asked said that it was so long ago that they did not remember anything now. Nor was there any such commotion that day that he could remember it. He treated everyone like a routine guest.
What did Himachal Police do to collect evidence of gangrape? Police officials claim that when no evidence was found from the spot, they took the victim woman and the two accused, Mohan Badoli and Rocky Mittal, to the hotel. He was interrogated there also. However, no concrete evidence has been found yet.
