Haryana Foreign MBBS Student Internship Controversy HMC DG Health Letter | Problem in internship on foreign MBBS degree: Even FMGE qualified are not getting seats in Haryana, HMC worried, will send reminder to DG Health – Haryana News

In Haryana, students who have returned to India after completing MBBS studies from abroad are facing difficulties in doing internship. The biggest reason for this is that these students have not been provided seats in medical colleges and government hospitals for internship.

,

Due to which more than 150 students have to wander here and there. In view of this problem, now Haryana Medical Council (HMC) has found a solution to this problem. Regarding this, the council decided that now Haryana Medical Council will write a letter to the Director General of Health Services requesting these students to provide seats in medical colleges and government hospitals and get them internship as soon as possible.

These decisions were taken in the committee

The committee has decided that in this regard a letter will be written again to DGHS requesting them to provide the details of internship seats of MBBS students in all government hospitals to the Council as soon as possible. If the matter of internship scholarship of students comes up, then DGHS office should continue its action in that regard.

As soon as permission is granted, students should be given scholarships. By doing this, students will not only save time but will also be able to complete their course on time as per the guidelines of NMC (National Medical Council).

This is why the government has formed a committee

Actually, the government has constituted a committee to allot internship seats to MBBS students. The chairman of this committee is Dr. RK Aneja, President of SMC. Principal directors of all the government medical colleges of the state are included as members in the committee. Who take decisions regarding allotment of seats keeping in mind the interests of the children.

That’s why these students are facing difficulty in doing internship.

The students who have not yet got the internship seats are actually those students who had passed FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) in January 2024 and June 2024 and had applied to MSC for internship seats. But due to less seats, the names of these students could not appear in the merit list. Due to which they are demanding to provide student seats.

DGHS did not respond

Haryana Medical Council is already alert regarding this demand of the students. The council had written to the DGHS office in July 2024 to provide details of internship seats available in civil hospitals. But due to not getting the answer, these students are facing problems for internship.
