The decision to create 5 new districts in Haryana may hang. There are 4 reasons behind this, of which caste census is prominent. The government has given the work of constructing new districts to the Cabinet Sub Committee. The committee has called a last meeting on this June 15, 2025, in which new districts
,
The state currently has 22 districts. The new districts that are ready to build include Hansi of Hisar, Dabwali of Sirsa, Assandh of Karnal, Safidon of Jind and Gohana of Sonipat. Among them, Hansi and Dabwali have already been formed police districts.
Apart from this, there has been a demand to make Manesar of Gurugram a district. However, due to non -arrival of its entire documents, a decision will be taken in the next meeting. Apart from this, the proposal of new divisions, sub divisions and tehsils in the state will also be discussed in this meeting.
Know in detail, 4 reasons for hanging new districts …
1. Caste Census: The biggest reason for the delay in building new districts of Haryana can be caste census. In the recent meeting of the Union Cabinet, it has been decided that caste census will be started soon. However, the tenure of the Cabinet Sub Committee formed by the Haryana government for the formation of new districts is only till June 30. If the government does not take a decision regarding new districts during this tenure, then this matter will be hanging. However, the tenure of this committee has also been expanded earlier, which can also be done again.
2. New Parameter: The second possible reason for the delay in the construction of new districts of the state does not fit the parameters of the new districts. This has been confirmed by the Cabinet Sub Committee itself. The chairman of the committee Krishna Lal Panwar has said that on the instructions of CM Naib Singh Saini, sub-committee has been formed in relation to new districts, tehsil, sub-tehsil in the state. Some rules have also been decided by the sub-committee to form them. Potential districts are not fit on these rules right now.
3. Election: The government does the work of creating new districts politically. There is neither assembly elections nor Lok Sabha elections in Haryana. In such a situation, the government will not get the benefit of creating new districts nor will it be able to cash in the election. Haryana has a third term of the BJP government, but in these three terms, the government has not created any new district. For this reason, whenever the government takes a decision regarding this, the reason behind this can be the election.
4. DC report: To create new districts, a report has to be sent to the DC of the districts before any recommendation of the Cabinet Sub Committee. The committee has also summoned the report from DC of the respective districts in the meeting held 10 days ago. This report is to be sent to DC before the committee’s meeting on June 15. However, sources say that this report has not yet reached the committee from the districts. Without the report, the committee will not take a new decision regarding any districts.
Committee has held 5 meetings so far So far, there have been 5 meetings of sub-committee to create new districts. In this, instructions have been given to the concerned administration for the demand for demand from the districts. In the earlier meetings of the cabinet sub-committee, it has been decided that recommendation of Deputy Commissioners is necessary for making new districts, sub-divisions, sub-tehsils and new tehsils in Haryana.
The proposal of MLA, Municipality or Municipal Corporation of the respective constituency has been made mandatory for the block committee. The next meeting is to be held on June 15, in which the final report of construction of new districts will be prepared and sent to the government. If there is no decisive decision in this meeting, then the matter of becoming a new district may be in disarray.
