Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), says that if there is cloud cover then the effect of smog will be reduced. A cyclonic circulation is forming over North Rajasthan, which will get moisture from the Arabian Sea. These winds will pass through Rajasthan and cause rain in Haryana also. Along with rain, hailstorm may also occur at some places.
Due to cloudiness and rain, there will be a drop in day temperature at most places. Night temperatures may increase due to cloud cover.
After the rain, deep fog may be seen in some areas from January 12. Due to this, the day temperature will also fall, while after the rain, the night temperature will fall again, but the chances of the temperature reaching the freezing point are still less. There will be moisture due to rain, which will bring down the temperature, but it will not go towards the freezing point.
