The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in 16 districts. While there is yellow alert in 6 districts. There is also a possibility of hailstorm at some places.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in 12 districts. These districts may receive 50 to 75 percent more rainfall than other districts. Cold will increase due to rain, but fog can provide relief.
The 16 districts where orange alert has been issued include Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurugram, Palwal, Faridabad and Mewat. Whereas Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts have been put on yellow alert.
The districts where heavy rain is expected include Sonipat, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurugram, Palwal, Faridabad and Mewat.
