The youth of Yamunanagar was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday in Baltal. He was trying to enter the Amarnath Yatra with a fake ID card. The accused was identified in the name of Shivam Mittal, and is a resident of Dwarka Puri, Jagadhri.

The incident came to light when the police monitored suspicious activities under the security check during the Amarnath Yatra (Sanjay-2025). According to the police, Shivam Mittal tried for cheating security posts and illegal entry into the travel route using a fake registration card.
Information not found in official records
Security forces posted in Baltal, which is a major base camp of Amarnath Yatra, detained him after examining the suspected card. Initial inquiry revealed that the information recorded in the card does not match the official records of the journey.
An FIR has been registered against the accused in the Sonamarg Police Station till various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Can be discovered whether other people are also involved in this forgery.
