The sensation spread after the body of an elderly woman was found outside the hut near a temple in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning. The police, who reached the spot, suspect that after a dispute, the woman’s partner has murdered her. The suspected accused was always disguised as the monk. At the moment, he is absconding. Search for him is going on.

According to PTI, the local people on Tuesday morning saw the blood -soaked body of the woman outside a hut near the Bhairavnath temple in Mendu in Hathras Junction area. After this, people informed the police officers about this.

On receiving the information, Inspector Satyendra Singh Raghav of Hathras Junction police station reached the spot, after which the jurisdictional (CO) Sikandararau also reached the spot. Investigation was started on the occasion in the presence of both police officers.

According to the police, the corpse has been identified as Rekha Devi (70) wife Amar Singh of Badgaon village in Sikandararau area. The woman had decided to renounce her life and become ascetic several years ago and was living in a hut near the Bhairavnath temple for many years.

Inspector Satyendra Singh Raghav told PTI that she used to live with another monk named Mahila Name Singh. Local people told the police that there were frequent quarrels between Rekha and Name Singh.

The police station in -charge said that the police suspect that during such a dispute, Nem Singh hit the woman with a stick or a heavy object and after that he escaped from the spot. Circle Officer (CO) JN Asthana said that the incident happened due to the late night dispute between the two.

Deputy Superintendent of Police JN Asthana said that he was probably killed by attacking with poles or any other heavy object. Police teams have been formed to locate Nem Singh. He said that the woman’s body has been sent for post -mortem and further investigation is on.
