Recently, Mamta talked about becoming her sadhvi and said that she has not seen any adult film in 23 years. Talking about this difficult journey, Mamta also revealed the controversy when she used to keep a 9 -day fast of Navratri, but it was said that she performs havan during the day and drinks two pegs at night. She used to go to Taj Hotel. This is when it was a part of Bollywood, working in films. A lot of controversy over this was deepened.
Mamta broke silence on old controversy
Mamta said- When I was in Bollywood, in 1997 my guru came into my life. While working in Bollywood, my life used to walk in a strict routine. Whenever I used to go for shooting, I used to carry three bags. One bag contained my clothes, while in the other bag I used to have a portable temple. This temple was built on a table in my room, where I used to worship before going to work. Only after completing this ritual, I used to go to my shooting schedule.
Mamta further said- I used to keep fast on Navratri. This Navratri is a nine -day accomplishment. I had pledged to keep fast and perform three havan in the morning, afternoon and evening. I used to drink only water for nine days. I performed a yajna with 36 kg of sandalwood.

“My designer, who was from Bollywood at that time, said to me one day, ‘Mamta, what are you doing? You have become very serious. Get up, there are many days, let’s go now.’ Then we went to roam the Taj. I used to drink Scotch after two pegs. The lack of penance and nutrition was tired of me as if I was sitting in the washroom for 40 minutes.
Mamta further explained her situation and said- See, all this happened in 1996-97. For two years, my guru saw that Bollywood will not let me last long on this path. So he chose a penance of penance for me where no one met me for 12 years.
Mamta has spent years in Dubai and Kenya. It is said that he has lived the life of Sadhvi there for 12 years. She is still following this path.
