Uniform Civil Code i.e. Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has come into force in Uttarakhand from Monday (January 27, 2025). In this act, Islamic practices like Halala, Iddat and triple talaq have been banned. This law also prevents polygamy. Maulana Kausar Hayat Khan, joint secretary of the Muslim League, has strongly opposed this. He said that this is directly interference in the religious matters of Muslims and an attempt is being made to impose Hindu law, which is against Islam. & Nbsp;
He said that 30-35 crore Muslims of India are against UCC. The government is making laws, but Muslim society is not being talked about. He said that he strongly condemns it. The statement of Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi, National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, has also come on UCC. He said that if the UCC violates Sharia, then the Muslims of Uttarakhand are not happy to believe it.
He said that if this law does not oppose the principles of Sharia, then every Muslim will respect him and accept it, but if it protects the Sharia, then Muslims are not forced to obey this law.
< p style ="Text-Align: justify;"> He said, ‘The Muslim of India considers the law and implements the law, but it cannot be against the Shariah or by violating the principles of Sharia and implementing other laws. As much as the Muslim law and the constitution are respected. The same honor, respect and Ehtaram performs the principles of Sharia. ‘
Maulana Rizvi said, ‘Uttarakhand government has made a program to implement UCC and today UCC is being implemented. Actually, this UCC is implemented in the whole of Uttarakhand and there is no conflict with Sharia’s principles anywhere and there is equality and there is no other against anywhere, then Muslims will accept this UCC, Tasarim and do it. If there are such principles, which are facing the sharp of Sharia, then Muslims are not bound in such condition and are not forced to implement it. ‘
