The flight of ‘Operation Sindhu’ reached Delhi with 290 Indian citizens from Iran late Friday night at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. A student studying at Tehran University of Medical Sciences said, ‘This journey was full of struggles, but with the help of the Indian Embassy and the Government of India, we were able to return to our homes safely. Our parents were very upset.

Let us know that amid the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, the Indian government started ‘Operation Sindhu’ so that Indian citizens trapped in Iran could be brought back safely. Earlier on Thursday, 110 Indian students were brought to India via Armenia and Doha.

1000 Indian citizens will come home under ‘Operation Indus’

The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association has also thanked the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs and all the concerned agencies. The association says that this is a big relief for those families who had been upset for a long time for their children’s safe return.

According to officials, two more flights are going to reach India on this day, one of which will be from Ashgabat in Turkmenistan. About 1,000 Indian citizens are being brought back home under the entire ‘Operation Indus’.
