Rinku Singh BSA: First a bang in cricket, then an engagement with MP and now a chance to become a government official, Sixer King Rinku Singh has cut her gardas. However, questions are being raised on this new innings.
Aligarh. Rinku Singh, an international cricketer known as Sixer King, is now preparing to play a new innings of life. The boy who came out of the streets of Aligarh and illuminated the name of India, is now being considered a plan to make the same Rinku as a special policy of the Uttar Pradesh government. It is discussed that he can be given the responsibility of the post of Basic Education Officer (BSA). As soon as this news came to light, not only the wave of happiness ran among the fans of Rinku, but a sense of pride is being seen in the entire state.
Prashant friendly, senior social worker of Aligarh, says that the path to reach this respectable post is not so easy. In the policy of the government, in which this appointment is to be made, there is a provision to appoint players to the post of Gazetted Officer of Category-2. Under this policy, the names of seven players including Rinku Singh have been recommended. But the problem for Rinku is that they do not have the educational qualification post graduation required for the post of BSA. He has not been able to pass high school yet, so the benefit of seven years of educational laxity in the rules may also prove to be insufficient in taking him to this post.
Prashant Hitishi says that a final decision has not been taken on it and discussions are going on at a higher level. In such a situation, it is expected that either the rules can be changed, or Rinku can be given any other equal level post. This entire incident has once again raised the question whether the rules should be flexible in honor of talent? Or should everyone be tested equally on the test of merit?
