The court has given a historic verdict in the murder case in a school committee election held 13 years ago in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This case is related to Goghat police station area of ​​Arambag subdivision of Hooghly district in the year 2011. During the election of a school governing body (Management Committee), there was a tremendous clash between two groups. During the same violence, a person named Naimuddin Sheikh was shot. 30 people were made accused
After this heinous murder, the widow wife of Naeemuddin Sheikh lodged a complaint against 30 people at Goghat police station. During the police investigation, four accused died, while a long case was against the remaining accused. After this, the court convicted 19 people in this case.
Satisfied, but legal battle
The victim’s wife has expressed satisfaction over the verdict. He said that it was late, but justice was received. At the same time, the lawyers of the culprits have indicated that they will challenge this decision in the Calcutta High Court.
