Parliamentary Committee Suggestions: The Parliamentary Committee on the Home Affairs of the Indian Parliament has submitted its report in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Parliamentary Committee has suggested in its 252nd report that the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India should gather information about how many Rohingya and Bangladeshi live illegally in India. According to the report of the committee, Rohingya live in many places in India, in such a situation, the Ministry of Home Affairs took steps to identify illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingya and take them back to their country.
Along with the identity of illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingya and sending them back to India, the Parliamentary Committee has suggested to further secure the international border of India. The committee said in the report that the Ministry of Home Affairs should complete the work of fence (fencing) faster and ensure that all the money given for it is used correctly. Also, the boundaries should be inspected from time to time, so that the deficiencies can be traced and the money is spent in the right place.
It was suggested to increase smart fencing
In its report, the committee also suggested the government to create more integrated check posts (joint check posts) and said that trade and travel should be easy, but the security should be maintained, in such a situation, the Ministry of Home Affairs should increase the smart fences (smart fences), which is part of the Comprehensive Integrated Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS). According to the committee, new technologies should be used in fencing as well as border security, such as thermal imagers, fiber-optic sensors, radars and sonar systems, so that an invisible (not visible) electronic security walls can be constructed, which will help in preventing monitoring and infiltration of borders and will strengthen India’s border security.
Preparations for census were completed
In the report of the Parliamentary Committee presented under the chairmanship of BJP MP Dr. Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal, the Parliamentary Committee has also suggested to complete the census soon, besides identifying and evacuating the security of security and illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingya. In the report, the Parliamentary Committee informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs told him about the census that many preparations related to the census have been completed and technical improvement work is going on. Also, whenever the census starts, additional budget will be sought as per the requirement.
The government also informed the committee that a budget of Rs 1,309.46 crore was fixed to update the census and National Population Register (NPR), but a budget of 574.80 crore has been set for the census in the budget of 2025-26 for this financial year.
The budget of 2025-26 will include the cost of census
The report stated that the budget of 2025-26 will include the expenses of many activities related to census and preparation of NPR, including technical improvement, salary and allowances of employees associated with census, civil registration system, Civil Registration System, Sample Registration System (Sample Registration System), GEOSPATIAL MAPPING, IT And the expenses incurred on language departments are included.

Along with this, funds have also been made for the operation and maintenance of the National Citizen Register (NRC) data center in Assam and the security requirements related to NRC have also been taken into consideration. Also, as the census process will progress, budget needs will also be fixed accordingly.
