Honda QC1 Electric Scooter: Apart from its famous Activa Electric, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched another scooter ‘Honda QC1’. The starting price of this new scooter has been fixed at Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). This is the cheapest electric scooter offered by the company, which is about Rs 27 thousand cheaper than the price of Activa Electric which is Rs 1.17 lakh. So let’s see how this new scooter is-
Look and Design:
In terms of design, Honda QC1 has been kept quite simple. Minimal body styling is seen in it. The body panels are not decorated with any kind of visual graphics. This scooter has been introduced in a total of five color options. Which includes Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Nightstar Black, Pear Serenity Blue and Matte Foggy Silver Metallic.
Battery pack and driving range:
In Honda QC1, the company has given a fixed battery pack of 1.5kWh capacity. Which is connected to a hub-mounted BLDC electric motor. This motor generates power of 1.8kW and torque of 77Nm. The company claims that this battery pack gives the scooter a driving range of approximately 80 km. Not only this, this scooter is capable of accelerating from 0-40 km/h in just 9.7 seconds and its top-speed is 50 km/h. Honda says that it takes 6 hours and 50 minutes for the battery of this scooter to be fully charged.

Honda has given a 5-inch LCD instrument cluster in this electric scooter. Apart from this, this scooter equipped with full LED lighting has been provided with features like USB Type-C charging port. It also has 26 liters of boot space under the seat i.e. under-seat storage. In which you can keep your necessary items. It also has two riding modes, Eco and Standard.
Wheels and Brakes:
The curb weight of QC1 is only 89.5 kg and it has a 130 mm (front) and 110 mm (rear) drum brake setup like the petrol Activa. It has a 12-inch wheel combination at the front and a 10-inch alloy wheel combination at the rear. Although its design is very similar to the Activa Electric, but on closer look, slight differences can be clearly understood.
Warranty Program:
Honda has also announced Care Plus package with validity across India. Whose price is Rs 9,900. It offers 5 years of Annual Maintenance (AMC). Which includes 3 years standard warranty and 2 years extended warranty. Customers will have to purchase the Care Plus package separately. However, the company is giving 3 years warranty on this scooter as standard.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has started pre-booking of this electric scooter. It can be booked through the company’s official website and authorized dealership for just Rs 1,000. Initially, this scooter is available for sale in 6 cities of the country. Which includes Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chandigarh.
