Targeting Rahul Gandhi on commenting on China, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Monday that he hopes that Congress leaders will improve their modalities after the Supreme Court “reprimanded” to make “baseless claims”.

Rijiju’s comment came when the Supreme Court verbally objected to Rahul Gandhi’s claim to occupy 2,000 square kilometers of Indian territory by China.

The minister said, “These types of statements of the Leader of the Opposition are extremely harmful to the nation and this makes the morale of our armies fall.” He said that many leaders had appealed to Gandhi not to make baseless statements, but he was not ready to take any advice.

Rijiju said, “I am happy that the Supreme Court has warned him. It is a strong reprimand to make a baseless claim. I hope the Congress and it will improve their ways after the court rebuke.” Rijiju insisted that the region of India is completely safe.
