Amid tension with Pakistan, India’s Air Force is looking after the whole world. On Thursday night, when more than 300 drones were fired by Pakistan on India, the air defense system of the country thwarted every attack. In contrast, India retaliated on cities like Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi in Pakistan, which caused heavy losses.

Whether it is the S-400 air defense called the Sudarshan Chakra of the Air Force or the Akash Missile System, these weapons of India rescued the sixes of Pakistan. India has so far used air defense like Akash, Mrsam, Zu-23, L-70 and Shilka in retaliation and every time the target is accurate and stagnant. But these state -of -the -art weapons did not come to India suddenly, but for this, preparations were being made by the government for a long time.

India has moved towards self -sufficiency in its defense equipment. It has also worked to increase aggressive capabilities. India’s air defense system thwarted every attack when an attempt was made by Pakistan by targeting 15 cities of the country. In this retaliation, 10 missiles were stopped or inactive. India’s quick and restrained action has shown the strength of its air defense ecosystem. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work was being done in this direction continuously for the last 11 years.
Unlike India’s capacity, the Pakistani air defense system has proved to be completely hollow. The S-400, Barak-8 missile, the sky-to-air missile and DRDO’s anti-drone technology together have given India’s air space-like protection. India has not only defended through these devices but has also retaliated with speed and accuracy.
Deal from Russia for S-400
Indian armed forces have attacked inside Pakistan in Operation Sindoor. Entering the Pakistani region and destroyed the HQ-9 air defense unit in Lahore and has damaged the major radar infrastructure.
India did not come to this strength overnight, but its preparation was going on since 2014. The Modi government has left no stone unturned to upgrade India’s air defense. For this, a deal of Rs 35,000 crore was signed to buy five S-400 Triumph missile systems from Russia, the deal was signed in 2018, under which three squadrons on the western and northern border are now operational.

For the Barak-8 MR-SAM, in 2017, a $ 2.5 billion deal was done with Israel, whose job is to protect the actively border locations. Apart from this, indigenous Akash missile batteries and anti -drone systems made by DRDO are also included.

Apart from this, the main-portable counter drone system (MPCDS) was deployed in 2024 to jam and neutralize the enemies. During Operation Sindoor, India has attacked Pakistan’s security completely. Apart from this, the HAROP drone of Israeli origin, which is now being prepared in India, has been deployed in Karachi and Lahore to target and destroy air defense assets.

To strengthen the defense system, the Modi government has continuously adopted such an approach and preparations are being made loudly for this.
