Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur said this in his defense in the murder of Sangh pracharak Sunil Joshi. Sadhvi Pragya Singh is in discussion these days. Actually, there was a blast in Malegaon on 29 September 2008. In this, 6 people were killed and 101 were injured. Sadhvi Pragya Singh was an accused of Malegaon Blast, a day before (31 July), the court’s decision has come, in which Sadhvi Pragya has been acquitted by the court.
Closer In the year 2017, 8 years ago, Dewas Court ruled in the Union Pracharak Sunil Joshi murder case. Sadhvi Pragya Singh was also an accused in that case. The court acquitted 8 people including Sadhvi Pragya. Know how the accused were acquitted due to contradiction in the investigation of police and NIA…?
On 29 December 2007, Sangh pracharak Sunil Joshi was shot dead.
First know what was the whole case…?
29 December 2007. It was 10:15 in the night. In Dewas, the Industrial Police Station received information that the lime mine has been shot by someone in Balgarh, Sunil Joshi. He is lying there in an injured condition. The police immediately reached the spot and took Joshi to MGH Hospital. Where Dr. SK Khare declared Joshi dead after investigation.
Police recovered a sword, an airgun, two mobiles from Sunil Joshi’s house. During the investigation, Raj alias Harshad, Mehul alias Ghanshyam, Ustad alias Mani, Mohan alias Rinku were found absconding. Pragya Thakur, Harshad Solanki, Ramcharan Patel, Vasudev Parmar, Anandraj Kataria, Lokesh Sharma, Rajendra Chaudhary and Jitendra Sharma were accused in the case.
They were booked under murder, evidence hiding and Arms Act. The first case was investigated by MP Police. The case was later assigned to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in 2011, so that the allegations of alleged ‘saffron terrorism’ could be investigated in the country at that time.
Accused Harshad Solanki said that he was in Gujarat at the time of the incident. Was not in Dewas. He has no idea about the incident. The accused argued in the court that the recovery of cuttings, cartridges, pistols, magazines and other items from them is also not certified. Neither the recovered weapons, cartridges and hollows have been certified to be used at the time of the incident.
The name of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur was also revealed in the case.
Allegations of eradicating evidence to evidence Accused Harshad Solanki, Rajendra Chaudhary, Lokesh Sharma, Pragya Singh, Vasudev Parmar and Anandraj Kataria hatched a criminal conspiracy to kill Sunil Joshi alias Guruji alias Manoj with mutual consent.
Accused Harshad, Rajendra, Lokesh illegally killed Sunil Joshi with a pistol-cut. After the murder, accused Ramcharan Patel molested the spot to destroy the evidence of the murder. Removed the mobile and SIM card of the deceased from the spot and similarly hidden the pistol-cut used by the accused Jitendra Sharma in the incident.
(All this is based on direct and circumstantial evidence.)
What the police made an eyewitness witness overturned Ramesh’s father Badrilal was described as an eyewitness of the incident by the police station industrial area Dewas. The police argued that in his statement, Ramesh had said that on the way, he had met Guruji on a new population and made him sit on the bike.
Harshad alias Raj, sitting on the back of the bike, asked to slow down the bike. Then a sound of firecrackers was heard from behind. Raj pushed Guruji on a bike and shot him two. Ramesh came home and slept in fear. But Ramesh said in court that he does not know the deceased Sunil Joshi and Vasudev Parmar, Raj, Mehul, Mohan and Ustad.
In the year 2007, Guruji (Sunil Joshi) met the lime mine main road in a dead state. He has no information about how he died. The day Guruji was dead, there was no work of going anywhere with Mohan, nor did I come to Dewas to take anyone from Mehul lime mine.
A large crowd had gathered on the road where Guruji’s body was lying. Later the police came and took Guruji. Then he too went to his house. The police questioned him in Bhopal. There was no inquiry in Dewas. There were statements in Dewas Court.
Why the difference between the statement and the testimony of the court…? Ramesh admitted that Pawan is his brother, but did not agree that he had given the SIM of brother Pawan to the accused Raj and used Pawan’s SIM.
Ramesh also said in the court that the accused Raj had said to shoot Guruji, ride a bike and sit in the middle, Raj sitting behind, and pressurizing the policemen.
He did not tell how Guruji died in Bhopal court, who killed him. Just said to see his corpse. Dewas police took him to Bhopal headquarters. He kept there for 7 days and assaulted. His family was also physically tortured.
Re -statements were made, could not prove anything In the investigation conducted after MP police, the NIA again made the statements of witness Ramesh in Section 164 in Bhopal Court. He refused to appear with the deceased Sunil Joshi at the time of the incident. Raj also refused to shoot Sunil Joshi by Raj. He said that when he left for Vasudev’s shop with Raj, there was a crowd near the lime mine. On seeing there, Sunil Joshi was found in a dead position.
Thus, the way the evidence was collected by two investigating agencies, he became completely unfounded by Ramesh’s testimony.
Guruji was brought to Mahatma Gandhi District Hospital, where he was declared dead.
I did not go to Pragya to leave Indore Dussehra ground In the case, Dr. Subhash Barod testified that he is the volunteer of the Sangh and knows Sunil Joshi alias Guruji who was a Sangh pracharak. He also knows Pragya Singh for the last 10 years and also knows Ramji. He was aware of Sunil’s murder, so he attended Sunil Joshi’s funeral in the morning.
Who found who he found at the funeral site. He did not see the house of the deceased Sunil Joshi. Sunil did not work to visit the house in Vikas Nagar. Nor did Sunil pick up any goods from here.
Subhash denied that on the night of 29 December 2007, Ramji had come to his house and informed Sunil to be shot, on which he had reached MG Hospital by car with his partner Santosh Patidar, where he got Sadhvi Pragya Singh.
It was also denied that Sadhvi Pragya Singh had asked her to go to Vikas Nagar at Sunil Joshi’s house on which she and Pragya Singh had reached Sunil Joshi’s house in Vikas Nagar by separate car. Where Pragya Singh was given a brief case by Ajay Gupta. After which Pragya Singh and he left Indore by different vehicles.
It was also denied that Pragya Singh had given the brief case to keep her with her. He went to leave Pragya Singh till Dussehra ground. He also denied that a person named Ramji came to his house the next day at 8-9. At that time Santosh Patidar was present at home and he gave the brief case to Ramji when Ramji was asked for.
It was also denied that after opening the briefcase, there were paper and clothes in the briefcase. Ramji took that briefcase with him. Subhash Barod said that she is a doctor and Pragya Singh came to Indore for treatment. For this reason, he is familiar with him. Apart from this, there is no more introduction.
Sunil had wrong action with Pragya, witness overturned Witnesses in the case Neera’s father Bhagwan Singh also overturned his statement in court. He refused to meet Sadhvi Pragya, to meet the deceased Sunil Joshi and a person named Aseemanand, by sitting in solitude by Sunil, Pragya Singh and Aseemanand.
He also refused to meet Mehul, Raj and Mohan on 21 February 2007 along with Pragya Singh, Ritesh at Aseemanand’s ashram in Dang Gujarat.
At the same time, Pragya Singh told Neera about having a good relationship with the deceased Sunil. Pragya Singh had also told him about the wrong act of Sunil once. Because of this Pragya will never forgive Sunil, Pragya said this to her. Neera overturned all these things and refused.
Investigation agencies against Sadhvi Pragya Thakur failed to prove crime.
Witness said- did not give a bag to Kalsangra In the case, witness Sheetal Gehlot denied that he had gone to Hatpipalya with Vasudev Parmar, where Vasudev Parmar had given Chandrapal’s mobile number to bring two bags from Chandrapal in village Rajoda, asking for help, he went to the RSS office with two bags from Chandrapal from village Rajoda.
Sheetal Gehlot also also refused that he had gone to Vasudev’s shop even after he did not meet the accused Vasudev Parmar’s RSS office, after which he took two bags from the RSS office and took his residence to Hatpipalya.
He also denied that Pramod Jha called him to give both the bags to Ramji Kalsangra. After this, he opened both bags and got 12-15, 1-1 feet rod and some PVC wires in both the bags, which made him know that the bomb making material was kept in the bag.
Sheetal Gehlot also denied that Kailash Chandrawat later gave him the bag to throw the bag in the Narmada River. Which he had thrown into the Narmada River.
Now understand the outline of allegations in the charge sheet
Initial police investigation: In 2007, RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi was killed in Dewas. The MP police initially reported to be shut down, but later in 2010 the case was reopened and a charge sheet was filed.
NIA Chargesheet (2014‑15): In 2011, the case was assigned to the NIA. The NIA filed a charge sheet under sections 120 (b) (conspiracy) and 302 (murder) of the IPC on other accused including Sadhvi Pragya. It was alleged that Joshi’s murder was conspired. The reason for this was that he was likely to catch lies in Samjhauta Express/Ajmer/Malegaon blasts.
Main basis
- Joshi’s assassination came out as a conspiracy till October 2008.
- The NIA claimed that Joshi with Pragya did inappropriate advancs. Because of this he was murdered.
- The link to the conspiracy was also added to the overall Hindutva organizations.
The court clearly stated that the two agencies could not investigate with sufficient seriousness, which led to the contradictory and weak evidence.
