An official of RCF police station said that the name of the accused is Dinesh Awhad. His wife works as a domestic assistant (med). On Friday, when she was preparing to leave home from home, Dinesh insisted on having a physical relationship with her. When the woman refused, there was an argument between the two.

In anger, the woman put kerosene oil on herself. However, she could not set herself on fire. But during this time, the accused burnt a paper from the gas stove and threw it on his wife, which severely burnt the woman.
After the incident, the woman was immediately admitted to Sion Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. According to doctors, his condition remains critical.
On the basis of the complaint of the woman, the police has arrested the accused husband. A case has been registered against the accused under the sections of the Indian Justice Code and a case under attempt to murder.
The police officer said that the matter is being investigated deeply and it is being ascertained whether the accused used to assault the woman earlier. The case will be carried forward based on the woman’s medical report and her statement.
