Hyderabad University: There was a lot of uproar at Hyderabad University on Sunday (31 March). This ruckus created a ruckus due to land acquisition by the Telangana government at the place adjacent to the eastern part of the campus. Students climbed on bulldozers opposing this acquisition. Later, the students were removed from here by calling the police force.
There was a dispute over a piece of 400 acres of land in Kancha Gachibovali. This land is adjacent to Hyderabad University. The Telangana government is planning to develop this land and set up an IT park there. That is why on Sunday, a large number of bulldozers came here to clean the bumpy land and trees.

By the way, the administration selected Sunday and sent bulldozers here, but as soon as the students came to know, there was a crowd here. Some students climbed the bulldozers and raised slogans against the police and demanded that they go back. There was an argument between the students and the police for a long time. Later, the police, using force, dragged the students in the vehicles and left it for some time and left it at night.
A police officer said that a total of 53 students were taken into custody as a precautionary precaution. The Hyderabad police also said that the protesting students stopped government officials from doing their work and some also attacked the policemen. The police officer said that a case will also be registered against such students.
Students’ allegations
Students detained have accused the police of using force. A student has even claimed that she was detained by the policemen touching her in the wrongdoing place. Students say that we just wanted to know why they are destroying the forest land.
The student union of Hyderabad University has condemned police action and custody of students in this case. At the same time, it has been said by the university that the disputed land is not of the university nor is it legally part of the allotted area.
