Hyundai Sells More Than 4,000 Units of Creta Electric SUV Since Its Launch, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mg Motor

Hyundai, one of the large automobile companies, recently launched the electric version of the Creta SUV in India. This is the company’s most affordable electric vehicle (EV). The range in its single charge is more than 470 kilometers. Hyundai has reported that more than 4,000 units have been sold since the launch of Creta Electric.

However, this sales of Creta Electric is lower than other electric SUVs. MG Motor’s Windsor EV is being sold an average sale of 3,000-4,000 units per month. It is the best -selling electric SUV in the country. Tata Motors have the highest stake in the market of electric vehicles. Creta Electric prices are between Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.37 lakh (ex-showroom). Many features of this electric SUV are similar to its internal combustion engine (ice) version. However, some upgrade has also been made in it. It has two battery packs of 51.4 kwh and 42 kwh. The company has stated that its 51.4 kwh battery pack variants are about 473 km in single charge. Its 42 kwh battery pack gives a range of about 390 km.

Hyandai has made changes in its cabin. The Creta Electric has a three-spoke steering wheel. It will have a gear selector on the right side of the steering column. The reason for this is to have a shift-ve-wire system in Creta Electric that uses electronic connections instead of mechanical linkage between gear shifts and transmission. This electric SUV has a dual screen infotainment instrument cluster. It provides wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This five -seater electric SUV has been made available in four variants – Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. It has options for eight monotones and two dual-tone colors.

Special attention has been paid to the safety of passengers in Creta Electric. It uses Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS). Because of this, the frame of this electric SUV is quite strong. It provides safety features like six airbags, isofix, disc brakes, surround view monitor, rain sensing vipers. Along with this, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 is also given in Creta Electric. It is competed with Tata Motors’ Curvv Ev, MG Motor’s ZS EV and Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming E Vitara.
