New Delhi. Nitish Kumar Reddy is currently in the headlines. This 21 year old young all-rounder has scored a brilliant century in Australia. On his first tour to Australia, Nitish has scored a century in a place where batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are struggling for runs. Nitish was out after scoring 114 runs on the fourth day of the ongoing Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne. On the basis of this right-handed batsman’s century, the Indian team was successful in making a comeback in the fourth Test match of the series. Nitish dedicated the century to his father, who left his job ahead of time to make his son a cricketer. Nitish has also made a post for fellow bowler Mohammad Siraj and said that he also has faith in ‘Mian Magic’.
With the help of Nitish Kumar Reddy’s 114 runs, India scored 369 runs in the first innings against Australia on the fourth day on Sunday. The host Australian team took a lead of 105 runs. Reddy hit 11 fours and one six in his 189-ball innings and was the last batsman to be out in the Indian innings. For Australia, captain Pat Cummins, Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon took three wickets each. Mohammed Siraj also played an important role in Nitish completing his century. At one time, while the process of falling of wickets was going on from one end, Nitish was single-handedly holding the lead at the other end. Siraj came to the crease for the last wicket and played wisely. Nitish was able to complete his century only when Siraj stayed at the crease. At one time everyone was holding their breath whether Nitish would be able to score a century or not. But Siraj provided full support from the other end in completing Nitish’s century.
