Ukrainian President Jailonsky on Wednesday targeted US President Donald Trump. He said that Trump has been trapped in the Russian ‘misleading information web’. He claimed that any attempt to remove him from power during the war would fail. Jelanky gave this response after Trump’s statement in which he said that Jailonski’s popularity is falling rapidly.
On Tuesday, there was a meeting between Russia and the United States in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, in which the end of the Ukraine War was discussed. After this meeting, US President Trump claimed that Jailonski’s popularity was only four percent, while in the latest survey, his approval rating has been stated to be 57 percent. Rejecting the results of this meeting, Jailonsky said that Ukraine would not accept any decision taken without its participation.
‘Russian propaganda claims four percent approval rating’
Dismissing Trump’s claims, Jailonsky said on Wednesday that US President was caught in the bubble of propaganda spread by Russia. He said in a statement to Ukrainian TV, ‘If someone wants to remove me now, it will not be possible. Russian propaganda claims four percent approval rating. ‘I can’t sell my country’
Jailonsky further said, ‘I cannot sell my country. Trump’s team should get more accurate information about Ukraine. He also clarified that no person in Ukraine trusts Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that Ukraine’s army is very strong and most Ukrainian citizens are not in favor of compromising with Russia.
Saudi meeting was a big shock for Jailonski
Meanwhile, in a meeting held in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov agreed to improve bilateral relations. Both sides also agreed to work towards ending Ukraine-Russia war. During the meeting, Russia strongly opposed the presence of any NATO army in Ukraine and strictly rejected Ukraine’s NATO membership. This was contrary to the long -standing demands of Ukrainian President Jailonsky.
Jailonsci postponed Saudi’s visit
As soon as the results of the meeting were made public, Jailonski said that no one can take any decision behind our back. Describing this meeting as ‘illegal’, he postponed his proposed Saudi Arabia.
He said, ‘We want no decision to be taken without us. No decision to end the war in Ukraine can not be taken without us. Jailonsky said that Türkiye and Europe should also be included in this dialogue.
