New Delhi. India’s cricketer Rinku Singh has revealed what was the reason for asking Virat Kohli to bat during the IPL. During the IPL last season, Kolkata Knight Riders’ clips to bats from Kohli of Rinku went viral on social media. Rinku broke Kohli’s bat and then asked for a new bat from the Royal Challengers Bangalore superstar. Kohli looked angry first but then gave him a new bat.

Rinku told News24 Sports. “I was very infamous in the bat in the bat. I was going to meet him (Kohli) like that and then thought of asking for a bat. The cameraman used to follow me. It was not being seen well. It was not good for me and Bhaiya (Kohli) because the videos of the bat were going viral.”
