IAEA CHEF RAFAEL GORSSI Said Iran Had Earlier Offred Limited Cooperation and No Transparency to Monitoring Nuclear Program

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Gersi said on Thursday (June 26, 2025) that Iran had earlier given a very limited support to the teams monitoring their nuclear program and had no transparency during the investigation.

IAEA chief Rafael Gossi said this a few days after the US bunker Buster bomb was dropped at three Iranian nuclear enrichment plants. They said that they were cooperating, but it was limited. There were many questions that Iran was not adequately answering.

‘Iran’s reply not technically reliable’
In the Radio France International Show, he said that uranium marks were found in places where they should not have been found and their (Iran) answers were not technically reliable. There was no transparency there.

The US was talking on the new nuclear security agreement with Iran. When it became clear that the Israeli missiles could not reach Iran’s Fordo enrichment facility, built at a distance of hundreds of meters under a mountain, the US attacked with a bunker buster bomb. However, this attack happened after the Israeli claim that Iran is on the verge of nuclear weapons.

‘Iran probably had materials to make 10 nuclear weapons’
Asked whether Iran is actually close to making nuclear weapons, which was claimed by US President Donald Trump. Regarding this, Groxy admitted that Iran probably had material and technology to make 10 nuclear weapons. He further said that we cannot say that Iran did not have nuclear weapons.

He said that Iran’s nuclear program has suffered heavy damage due to GBU-37 bombs. For this reason, Centrifuse in Fordo nuclear enrichment plants is probably no longer on. However, the IAEA chief kept a distance from US President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran’s nuclear sites have been destroyed. Instead, he said that its capabilities have reduced.

IAEA Chief said the attacks have caused a lot of damage to Natanj, Isfahan and Fordo, where Iran’s uranium enrichment activities were focused. He further said that there are other nuclear sites in Iran which have not been affected. I can only tell you that there is a lot of damage.
