After receiving the aircraft, India will join selected countries like America, Britain and Israel, which have technology.

The Airforce (IAF) is going to get three modern i-star (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconciliation) Spay aircraft soon. The project costs Rs 10,000 crore.

The Ministry of Defense will keep its proposal for approval in the high level meeting to be held in the fourth week of June. After receiving the aircraft, India will join selected countries like America, Britain and Israel, which have technology.

With the help of I-STAR Spay aircraft, the Air Force will get accurate information of enemy’s ground locations such as radar stations, air defense systems and mobile targets and it will be easy to target targets.

This project is being developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Three aircrafts will be purchased through open tenders from foreign companies such as Boeing and Bombardier, but all the systems inside them will be completely indigenous.

Inside the Modern I-Star Spay aircraft, indigenous systems developed by DRDO’s Center for Airbone System (CABS) will be installed.

The internal developed by DRDO will be equipped with indigenous systems

Inside the Modern I-Star Spay aircraft, indigenous systems developed by DRDO’s Center for Airbone System (CABS) will be installed. They have already been successful in the test. I-STAR aircraft will be used for gathering intelligence, monitoring, identifying and attacking them from height.

These will be able to work in any season at the day and night. Through these, the activities of the enemy can be monitored from a distance. The I-STAR system will work in both air and ground parts and will increase the security capabilities of the Indian Army manifold. This will help the country to identify timely threats and retaliate on them.

AMCA production model was approved on 27 May

Earlier on May 27, the production model of the 5th generation fighter aircraft i.e. Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) to be built in India was approved. The Ministry of Defense said that to make the aircraft, private companies along with the government will also be given a chance to bid.

Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) will soon release the Exemption of Interest (EOI) for this. The announcement of giving a chance to private companies in making aircraft led to an increase of about 6 percent in the shares of defense and its associated sectors. The Nifty India Defense Index also reached 52 -week new high 8,674.05.

AMCA project was approved in 2024

  • In April 2024, the Cabinet Committee (CCS) on security approved a project of Rs 15,000 crore for the design and development of 5th generation indigenous fighter jet. This fighter jet is ‘Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft’ (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft – AMCA).
  • ADA is the nodal agency to designing the execution and aircraft of this program. The ADA comes under the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
  • This would be better than other fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force. Hitech will be equipped with technology to avoid the enemy radar. Other stealth fighter aircraft of the 5th generation used at the international level will be better or even better.

AmCA will be made in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in India. HAL is already producing Tejas.

Amca second fighter jet made from indigenous technology

Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft i.e. AMCA will be the second fighter aircraft to develop in the country itself. Earlier, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas and its advanced version Tejas Mark-1 in India have been prepared. Work is going on on more advanced version Mark-1-A. According to the information, AMCA will be available for deployment in Air Force and Navy by 2035.

Till now, the concept model of AMCA was being displayed. For the first time, information has been revealed about its production version.

Indian Air Force is using Tejas Jet made in the country

On July 30, the Air Force deployed light fighter aircraft MK-1 at Avantipora airbase in Jammu and Kashmir. The army says that Pilots could practice flight in the valley, so it was done.

Kashmir is sensitive to neighboring countries China-Pakistan. Tejas MK-1 is a multirol mild fighter aircraft, which will further strengthen the Air Force in the forest and hilly areas of Kashmir. The Indian Air Force currently has 31 Tejas fighter planes.

Tejas is different due to 4 features

  • 50% of this aircraft have been prepared in India.
  • It has a Israeli El/M-2052 radar. With this, it is able to track 10 goals simultaneously and target them.
  • The ability to takeoff on a very low space i.e. 460 meters runway.
  • This fighter is lighter than Jet Sukhoi, Rafael, Mirage and MiG. It weighs 6500 kg.
