India, Brazil and South Africa have strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza and expressed serious concern over the situation in the ‘Palestinian region’. The issue arose prominently at the meeting of the tripartite group ‘IBSA’ (India, Brazil, South Africa) held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. In this, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar, Brazilian External Affairs Minister Mauro Viera and South African Minister Cindicive Chikunga participated.

The tripartite group specifically condemned ‘using starvation as a way of war’ and reiterated its call for a permanent ceasefire, resulting in the Israeli attacks shut down, fully returning from the Gaza Strip of Israeli soldiers and also releasing the remaining hostages from Hamas.
