70 to 80 police in clashes and CRPF Workers also injured- Jamwal

He said that this was done to prevent only self -defense and large -scale violence from provoking. The Director General of Police (DGP) said, ‘If you look at the footage and the circumstances in which our security forces worked, they did a very commendable job. He said that about 70 to 80 police and CRPF personnel have also been injured in the clash.

He said, ‘Do you want police force personnel to be killed? This is not possible. Everyone has a life. Intelligence information was received to disturb peace- Jamwal

Jamwal defended the advance deployment of CRPF, saying that intelligence was information that some elements including Wangchuk were trying to disturb peace. He said, ‘If the CRPF was not there that day, I am saying with full confidence that the whole city would have been burnt down.’ He said, ‘We do not want any force here. we want peace. People of Ladakh have always given police and administration together- Jamwal
