The Chief Minister said that the meeting of the District Road Safety Committee under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate should be completed by January 5 under any circumstances. Awareness programs related to road safety rules should be organized in all schools and colleges from January 6 to 10. The Chief Minister also directed that the number of PRD and Home Guards should be increased for better traffic arrangements in Maha Kumbh.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that 23-25 ​​thousand deaths occurring every year in road accidents are a loss to the country and the state. These accidents happen due to lack of awareness. Road Safety Month should not be limited to Lucknow only, rather it should be conducted smoothly in all 75 districts of the state. He said that apart from this, a road safety meeting should be held every month under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, in which the Superintendent of Police/Senior Superintendent of Police, Municipal Commissioner, RTO, PWD officials, District School Inspector, Basic Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer etc. should be present.

CM said that the progress of the works done at the district level should be evaluated at the government level every three months. Identify those districts and places where more accidents are likely. After finding out the reasons for this, an action plan for its solution should be made. Special attention needs to be paid to ensure that minors do not drive e-rickshaws and other vehicles. The process of registration of e-rickshaw should be done smoothly. The Chief Minister said that signages should be compulsorily installed on the roads, so that people can get convenience in transportation. He said that overloading is not tolerated at all. It should be stopped at the starting point itself. Loaded vehicles also remain parked on expressways and highways, which cause accidents. These vehicles should be removed through crane. Awareness programs should be run to motivate people to adopt helmets, seat belts and other road safety standards.

Instructions for installing hoardings for road safety awareness
Chief Minister Adityanath said that in case of repeated challan of a vehicle, action like cancellation of license/permit etc. should be taken. This action should be compulsorily linked to FASTag. Hoardings making appeals should be put up by the departments related to information, transport and road safety. It should also be implemented outside all 75 districts, 350 tehsils, 1500 police stations and all municipal bodies. Apart from this, Road Safety Parks should be created in every district on the lines of Road Safety Clubs in schools and colleges. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Urban Development Minister AK Sharma, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Basic Education Minister (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh and senior officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
