Donald Trump on Hamas: US President Donald Trump has given a strong warning to Hamas that if he does not agree to leave control over Gaza and peace agreement, it would be completely abolished.
In a conversation with CNN, Trump said that he would soon know whether Hamas really wants peace or not. He said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also in support of America’s peace plan. Trump said, “Bibi (Netanyahu) agree on this.”
‘Hamas moves fast, otherwise all finished’
Trump had warned Hamas on Saturday that if he did not take a quick decision on the peace agreement, all the possibilities would be over. On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote, ‘I am grateful to Israel that he temporarily stopped bombing so that the hostage release and peace agreement can get a chance to complete. Hamas should now move forward immediately, otherwise everything will be at stake. He also said that he will not tolerate any delay or such situation in which Gaza will be threatened again.
Main point of American peace plan
Under the peace scheme of America, there is an immediate ceasefire. It is proposed to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in lieu of the release of bodies of 20 living Israeli hostages and those killed within 72 hours. After the agreement, full human assistance will be sent to Gaza. However, it has been clearly stated in the scheme that Hamas will not have any role in Gaza’s government.
Netanyahu and Hamas’s attitude is different
In this proposal, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu dismissed the idea of the Palestinian state, saying, “We are strongly against the Palestinian state and it is not written anywhere in the agreement.” At the same time, Hamas said on Friday that some issues related to the governance of Gaza and the rights of Palestinians are still in the discussion under the “National structure”, in which he will be involved.
