The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday (August 2, 2025) to target the Election Commission. In fact, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has claimed that the Election Commission is involved in vote theft in Bihar and he has a strong evidence about this, which is like an atom bomb, which the commission will not find a place to hide anywhere if the burst.

Addressing the program organized by a media institute in Patna, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh compared the upcoming assembly elections of Bihar to a crossroads, ‘one path (under NDA) leads to further progress and the other (under India alliance) takes Bihar back to the old era of chaos and caste struggle.

Rajnath Singh took sarcasm at Rahul Gandhi

Taking a sarcasm, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajnath Singh said, “Rahul Gandhi says that he has an atom bomb. If this is the case, he should immediately burst it. They should simply ensure that he himself stays away from danger.”

He said, “The country remembers Rahul Gandhi’s previous statement. He (Rahul) had threatened to hit an earthquake in Parliament, but when he spoke, it proved to be a useless thing and now he is accusing the Election Commission which is an institution in India, which is honored for his honesty.”

Singh said, “Every effort is being made to conduct the upcoming assembly elections in the state in an independent and fair manner. The Leader of the Opposition does not suit the Leader of the Opposition to make a low level statements about a constitutional institution.”

Congress killed democracy in 1975- Defense Minister

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reminded the Congress leader that his own party’s hands were dyed with blood, who tried to kill democracy in the year 1975 by putting an emergency. A senior BJP leader also praised coalition (NDA) colleague and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for helping the state back on track during 20 years of rule in Bihar.

He said, “Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar is no longer in bad shape. A prestigious magazine like ‘The Economist’, which once described this state as a hanger of India, is now referring to its change.”
