Analysts say that the relations between India and America have seen progress in positive directions for decades but recent events have negatively impacted relations. Along with the meeting of Trump-Munir, there have been many more things, which has affected the trade talks of the two countries. The Trump administration is considering imposing tariffs on India, like other countries, India is trying to trade with America to avoid.
Talking to the news agency Reuters, three senior Indian officials directly familiar with the case said that India, especially its army, has accused its army of supporting the cross -border terrorism and told the US that the Field Marshall is sending the wrong message by calling Aseem Munir to lunch.
Officials say that the meeting of Trump-Munir has become a canker that will later affect the relationship.
Despite small stress in the last two decades, Indo-US relations have strengthened. The US considers India necessary to compete with China in Indo-Pacific and India also prefers its relations with America to prevent China’s growing aggression.
The Asia Pacific Foundation Think Tank -based Senior Fellow Michael Kugelman in Washington says that the current problems are different.
He says, ‘The speed with which the US is in a hurry with Pakistan and is not paying attention to India’s concerns, especially after India’s recent struggle with Pakistan, it has not affected bilateral relations well. This time, due to the tariff of Trump, tension in the field of business is also increasing.
Munir’s lunch with Trump in the White House
Analysts say that it seems that after four days of struggle between India and Pakistan in May, the US has taken a different stand on Pakistan. India blamed Pakistan for the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April.
26 people were killed and 17 were injured in the attack on the Hindu community. In response to the attack, India attacked 9 terrorist bases of illegal occupied Kashmir (POK) of Pakistan and Pakistan, after which there was a four -day struggle between the two countries.
After four days of fighting, both countries agreed on the ceasefire. A few weeks after the struggle, Trump called Munir to lunch at the White House, which was a major improvement in the US-Pakistan relations. Two officials said that Trump and Munir met on June 18 and after this meeting, officials of the Prime Minister’s Office and the office of the National Security Advisor of India lodged separate calls to their American counterparts. However, there was no official statement that India has lodged a protest.

Two officials said that this has also created concern in India that if there is a war between the two neighbors again, then Pakistan can be used by any weapon from America against India.
India’s rigorous stance towards America and growing relations with China
Indian officials and an Indian industry lobist said that even though Trump and PM Modi are showing friendship in public, India has taken a tough stand towards America in recent times and the trade talks of both countries have also slowed down.
After the G-7 meeting in Canada in June, Modi received Trump’s invitation to go to America, which he rejected. Earlier this month, India proposed to impose retaliation against the United States in the World Trade Organization, which showed that the business talks were not running as smoothly as it was going on before the India-Pakistan struggle.
Harsh Pant, the foreign policy head of India’s Observer Research Foundation Think Tank, said that like other countries, India is also trying to find a way to deal with Trump and is re -balanced in relations with China as a rescue.
He said, ‘Surely efforts are being made to reach China. And I think this is happening from both sides … China is also trying to increase reaching India.
Last week, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar visited China for the first time after the 2020 Galwan struggle between Indian and Chinese soldiers. During this, he also met Chinese President Xi Jinping.
