He wrote on X- ‘If India can play cricket from Pakistan, then why can’t Sonam Wangchuk go to the UN conference there?’
Answer to questions raised on Pakistan tour
Angamo’s remarks came at a time when Ladakh UT Police Chief SD Singh Jamwal alleged that Wangchuk could have ‘relations’ with Pakistan. He cited Wangchuk’s visit to Pakistan in February this year.
Attending the climate conference

I also went to present a paper on the role of women there. In fact, he also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the (Wangchuk) stage.
Sonam had also praised PM Modi
Angmo also shared a video on social media, in which Wangchuk was seen speaking on climate change and was praising PM Modi’s initiative. The title of the conference was ‘Breed Pakistan’. Angamo’s remarks came a few hours after the statement he said that the security forces were responsible for the violence during the protest demanding the restoration of state status in Leh.
The Pakistan narrative about sonam wangchuk is false and defamatory. We were invited for a un climate conference where he praised mr modi for initiatives like simply life.#Freesonamwangchuk #Satyamevajayate pic.twitter.com/qeqroaen71
